Architecture

The Xentor architecture consists of a two-tier client, local client structure and a three-tier server based structure for synchronization.

Client Side
The Xentor client side architecture is primarily two-tier architecture as follows:

Client Tier: Xentor Client
Data Tier: Xentor Access Database

The Xentor Client requires MDAC and MS XML Parser to be installed and for full functionality requires Microsoft Office. Note that MS Access is not required on a client machine.

Server Side
The Xentor server side architecture is three-tier architecture as follows:

Client Tier: XentorSync
Transactional Tier: IIS & Xentor Server
Data Tier: SQL Server Database

The Server requires Windows Server, IIS, SQL Server, and MS XML Parser to be installed. ASP scripting is used in the synchronization process.
